Google tasks
If I am asked to recommend one time management technique that will greatly help in getting focused, it is “To do list – prioritized”. It is the essence of all the self-exploration that is required in time management such as ‘understanding the destinations of your time journey’ ‘steering the direction of your time travel’ ‘Knowing where you want to go next and how to get there’. If you are too tired to do all that thinking just begin with “to do list” today and keep up with it for three months.
Have you tried the Google tasks? Just click and type to add new tasks, set due dates or add notes, and (most satisfyingly) check them off as you’re done. Your task list stays up to date no matter how you access it. (You can access it from Gmail, mobile phone, Chrome toolbar, Google calender and iGoogle) It’s a simple list that’s with you everywhere you go.
If you are upto something a little more intricate but better reach try “Remember the milk“. Let me know which one worked for you. I won’t be surprised if some of you go back to old fashioned pen and paper ‘to do list’ in your dairy.
Whichever it is, knowing what to do first and what next is the key. For that you have to know what will make your tomorrow happier and so what is important today. Hey, you cannot escape the self-exploration that I mentioned in the first para. But I will write a few more posts to help you with those items, provided you share your experience with ‘to do list’ with me.
